Quick answer: CoaterZ installs Genevo radar detectors and Genevo laser jammer systems at all three of our shops: Palm Harbor, Lutz and Sarasota, in the Tampa Bay area. Genevo is the radar and laser brand we use for our radar detector installations and laser jammer installations, with clean installs that hide the wiring. Palm Harbor and Sarasota are open Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Lutz is open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Call your nearest shop or request a free quote.
Genevo is a European maker of radar and laser speed-enforcement systems, and it is the radar and laser brand CoaterZ installs. A Genevo radar detector is a receiver: it listens for police radar and warns you early, and it does not transmit or interfere with police radar. A Genevo laser system responds to police lidar, which a radar detector alone usually catches too late.
A detector plugged into the 12V socket leaves a cord across your dash and ties up the socket. A professional install hides the wiring behind the headliner and trim, powers the unit from the vehicle so it turns on and off with the ignition, and mounts it where it has a clear view of the road. We take extra care around your trim, airbags and factory electronics.
For Genevo laser systems, we mount the sensor heads in the grille or bumper area at the right height and angle and route the wiring to a hidden control module.
See our radar detector installation and laser jammer installation pages for more on each install.
A radar detector warns you about radar. Police lidar is narrow and fast, so a detector alone usually alerts too late for laser. Drivers who want both often pair a Genevo radar detector with a Genevo laser jammer system. We can plan and install both in one visit. See our radar detector installation page for more on install options.
Radar detectors are legal in private passenger vehicles in Florida. They are illegal in Virginia and Washington, D.C., and federal rules prohibit them in commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs. Laser jammers are not prohibited in Florida passenger vehicles, but several other states, including California, Texas, Illinois and Virginia, and Washington, D.C. ban them. Radar jammers are illegal nationwide under FCC rules, and CoaterZ does not install them.
Combine your Genevo install with dash cam installation, window tint, paint protection film or a ceramic coating. See all our accessories.

Both. CoaterZ installs Genevo radar detectors and Genevo laser jammer systems. Radar detectors only receive signals and warn you. Laser jammers respond to police lidar and are not prohibited in Florida passenger vehicles. Radar jammers, which transmit radio signals, are illegal in the U.S., and we don't install them.
