Rivian R1T Adventure Protection Pack

Rivian R1T Adventure Protection Pack - CoaterZ

Fresh off of the delivery truck, this Rivian R1T arrived at the shop to get some protection goodies. The Rivian R1T is the world’s first Electric Adventure Vehicle and this one specifically was 1 of 4 in our area. The owner waited 3 + years for it to arrive and had absolutely no hesitation protecting their investment with only the best at CoaterZ to provide this Adventure Vehicle with the protection it deserves

After receiving a quick decontamination wash, the first step to completion was applying the PPF. The PPF Package chosen specifically was the Full Front End Package. This includes mirrors, full hood, headlights, front bumper, and full fenders. Llumar Films is our top choice for PPF film and CoaterZ is a Llumar Films Certified Installer.

The PPF process begins with cutting out the film to fit each piece that is being wrapped if not already generated by our plotter. Then to apply the film, our technicians use soap/water mixture to be able to create a “slip” for readjustment followed by water to tack it down into place, repeating until every piece of film is on the car.

To protect from Florida’s miserable heat, harmful UV rays and vision impacting glare, our IRX Infrared High Performance Heat Rejecting Film is the best option. This vehicle has this film on all windows excluding the windshield, to provide a cool and relaxed environment inside the vehicle. Film is custom cut to fit every window perfectly and comparatively applied like PPF. Using water/soap to stick the film to the glass and squeegeeing out all water until the film lays perfectly against the glass.

The final step for this vehicle is ceramic coating. In this instance, we went for the Feynlab Heal Lite 5 Year Ceramic Coating. This coating adds a super thick, scratch resistant, self-healing, durable, hydrophobic, chemical and UV resistant layer to painted surfaces. Heal Lite is a 4-step coating including the panel prep, primer, ceramics, and lastly, overcoat. Once everything is applied and wiped off in order, then we “bake” the ceramics into the paint with an Infrared Curing Lamp. Once each panel has cured we make sure the rest of the vehicle is presentation ready and clean up any messes before handing back the vehicle to the owner.

We were all thrilled to have this truck in the shop and were so excited to be the ones chosen to protect such an important investment.
