Learn the process behind Tampa Bay’s best shop.
This 2020 C8 Corvette has been treated with the Feynlab 5-Year Heal Lite Ceramic Coating, ceramic coated wheels and calipers, and the Llumar Films Full Front End PPF.
At CoaterZ this tends to be a standard protection package. It allows you to protect the most vulnerable parts of your car with Paint Protection Film and simultaneously protect the rest of your car with Feynlab Ceramics.
Since this car is relatively new and still in great shape this makes for a seamless application of products. Getting your vehicle protected early is an amazing investment that leads to better end results.
This job starts as any other, with a decontamination wash, to strip all particles off the car for the best application results. After the wash, paint correction would be the next step to preparing for any protection products. The goal of paint correcting is to polish and refine the surface of your car’s paint, removing scratches and swirls, then sealing it with our products to ensure the quality of paint.
Paint Protection Film is what we had our team apply first to this corvette. A Full Front End Package includes both mirrors, headlights, fenders, the hood and front bumper. After application of PPF we apply panel prep to the car and apply the ceramics. In this case the 5 Year Heal Lite is a multi-step 60% self healing coating. Over the life of the product, a car coated in Feynlab Heal Lite will show significantly less swirl marks and marring than other professional ceramic nano coatings on the market due to the recovery properties of the coating.
The final step to this car is coating the wheels and calipers. Each wheel must come off, be cleaned, primed, and coated. Then repeated on each caliper. Once the wheels are back on we allow the car to sit or “bake” until it is ready to be released.
This C8 Corvette left CoaterZ with the best paint protection products on the market by the best shop in Tampa Bay.
