Lutz is not on the beach, but trucks here still rust underneath. Lake launches, sandy back roads, construction sites and months of humidity all wear on frames and brake lines. This guide covers why undercoating in Lutz is worth a look and what to expect.
What causes underside rust in Lutz
Humidity keeps steel damp for much of the year. Mud and sand packed into frame rails hold that moisture against the metal. Boat owners who head to the Gulf from Lutz bring salt back on the trailer and the truck. Work trucks on job sites in Wesley Chapel and Land O’ Lakes pick up fertilizer, concrete dust and chemicals that speed corrosion.
Why we use Woolwax
CoaterZ Lutz uses Woolwax, a lanolin-based undercoating. It stays pliable, creeps into seams and welds, and does not harden and crack the way some rubberized products do. Read our comparison of Fluid Film, Woolwax, Krown and Ziebart for more detail.
Good candidates
- Work and fleet trucks that sit outside
- Trucks that tow boats to salt water
- Off-road and hunting rigs that see mud and sand
- New trucks you want to keep clean underneath for years
Keeping the protection working
Rinse mud and salt off the underside, keep drain holes clear and come back for inspection and touch-ups. If you are protecting the underside, it often makes sense to do the bed too with a spray-on bed liner from CoaterZ Lutz.
